Sarea started gymnastics at the age of three, at Romanian Gymnastics and trained with Lumi Butuc. She was a competitive gymnast with Jenks competitive gymnastics team for 4 years and continued to train with Lumi Butuc until the age of 16.
Sarea began dancing at Theatre Arts at the age of 9, and began training in ballet, tap, jazz, and hip-hop. Sarea also joined a hip-hop dance team at the age of 14, where she performed at the World of Dance showcase in Houston, Texas alongside her team, “The Production”, and continued to dance with them until she was 17. In high school she continued to train in hip hop and tap as well as joining the varsity tennis team. Theatre Arts was the beginning of Sarea’s dance training, and has continued to fuel her love and appreciation for dance. Sarea is so excited to teach what she’s learned during her years as a gymnast and former Theatre Arts student to further students’ success in tumbling!
A Union High School graduate and current college student, Sarea’s love for dance and gymnastics is still a big part of her life and has heavily influenced many of her interests and hobbies. Sarea is currently majoring in psychology at TCC and plans to attend Oklahoma State University next fall to get her bachelor’s of science degree in psychology with the ultimate goal of becoming a clinical psychologist. Sarea is thrilled to be on faculty at Theatre Arts to help students reach their goals and improve their skills!
