Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Janai Burns moved to Los Angeles at the age of seventeen to pursue a career in dance. Janai grew up at Theatre Arts studying all styles of dance, as well as training in acting, voice and musical theatre. She has appeared in many productions including the legendary “Golden Horseshoe Revue” at Disneyland as can-can dancer Fiona and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. While living in LA, Janai co-founded and directed Dance League Conventions from 2013-2020 alongside mentor, Desiree Robbins. She further pursued her career in New York City before returning to Tulsa full time in 2021.

Janai is thrilled to join the TA family and help grow and foster each student’s love for dance!
